How to apply motion capture data in Softimage|3D? |
- Let us do it. MOTEK has great experience in motion data mapping.
If you let us do it, you’ll have to send us your 3D character
and we will deliver back fully mapped SoftImage|3d scenes.
- Using skeletal data. In this case, we deliver BVH skeleton or alternatively
Acclaim skeleton. Your task will be to rig your character in such a
way that copies the rotational values of the delivered skeleton onto
the skeleton of your own character. 2 plug-ins are available, enabling
BVH/Acclaim import. Go to Motion>Get Motion File>Acclaim_Skeleton
+, if you wish to import Acclaim file, or go to Motion>Get Motion
File>Biovision_Animation +, if you wish to import BVH file.
- Using marker(s) data. Markers data can be delivered in C3D file formats,
which can be imported info SoftImage|3D for character rigging. When
you rig it to your character, you need to use constraints on the skeleton
to make it stick and reach to the markers. Contact us if you need a
plug-in enabling C3D files import in SoftImage|3D
