We can’t tell you. :)
Every project is different and unique. Thus, every project has generic
motion needed along side with unique and specific moves. Quoting a project
is highly dependent on the script and motion requirements. For example,
capturing one actor walking is a simple generic move and will cost accordingly.
Capturing a brake-dance sequence involves complex moves and high possibility
of markers occlusions making it more expensive move to capture. The same
applies to simultaneous capture of more then one actor and so on.
Delivery format will also affect costs. Delivering cleaned motion capture
data files is obviously cheaper than delivering FBX files (after ‘Actor
Mapping’ of all the motions recorded). The same applies to delivering
mapped scenes, which involves additional amount of processing and thus
higher costs.
In general, we quote a project according to the following configurations
and delivery formats:
Motion Capture:
- Full body motion capture.
- Facial motion capture.
- Fingers motion capture.
- Motion platform use and motion capture.
- Props motion capture
Delivery Format:
- Motion capture files after data reconstruction, labeling, filtering
and smoothing.
- FBX files – after ‘Actor Mapping’ in FilmBox/MotionBuilder.
- Your 3D package Scene files – after ‘Character Motion
Mapping’.
- Rendered pictures – Rendered scenes in your 3D package file
format.
In addition, MOTEK supplies Story board, Modeling, Skeleton connections
and character weighting services.
