Mortal Kombat II: Annihilation

In this project, MOTEK was contracted by New Line Cinema to create the model and the motion for Motaro, a mythical beast featured in the film Mortal Kombat II Annihilation.
Motion capture scenes were recorded in a 6 weeks time, on the set in Thailand.
Optical motion capture was integrated in the set for the Jax vs. Motaro fight sequences. Two actors were used to create the motions which required to make Motaro movement.
MOTEK used real-time capabilities, to give 3D representation of Motaro by the end of each take.
